Coldplay kicked off their North American tour last night  in East Rutherford, New Jersey and their set included a performance in honor of Chester Bennington.

Thank you so much, everybody,” frontman Chris Martin said on stage behind a piano. “From time to time we like to do a cover song. We’re gonna do one right now. I hope it’s okay. It may not sound that great, but it’s meant in good faith. This is for anybody who’s missing someone.”

What ensued was a stirring cover of “Crawling,” the Grammy-winning song off Linkin Park’s album Hybrid Theory
