This weekend Metallica will play the final two shows of the 2023 leg of the M72 World Tour, on Friday, November 10th and Sunday, November 12th at Ford Field in Detroit.

The tour — supporting this year’s “72 Seasons” album — began during late April in Amsterdam and has played a dozen U.S. and European cities with entirely different set lists each night.

The M72 shows also feature separate opening acts on each night, including Pantera and Mammoth WVH on the first and Five Finger Death Punch with Ice Nine Kills on most of the second.

“72 Seasons,” Metallica’s 11th studio album and first in seven years, came out April 14 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It also spawned the No. 1 Mainstream Rock chart hits “Lux Aeterna,” “72 Seasons” and “Too Far Gone?”

The M72 tour resumes next May 24 in Munich, Germany, and returns to North America during August. Metallica is also slated to play four shows in Mexico City next September.
