During National Blood Donor Week we celebrate donors for their generosity and spirit and for giving life.

Join us Friday, June 14th for World Blood Donor Day from 777 William Ave from 9AM – 1PM to learn your blood type, celebrate donors, enter to win some great prizes from the 92.1 CITI Summer Street Crew and remind people to give blood now and during the summer…one of the most challenging times for Canada’s blood system.

Every minute of every day, someone in Canada needs blood and often from more than one generous blood donor. It can take up to:

  • 5 donors to help a father through heart surgery
  • 8 donors a week to help treat a child with leukemia
  • 50 donors to save a loved one from a crash

Donating blood is one of the most direct ways you can help someone. Without the commitment and generosity of donors, we would not be able to meet the needs of patients in Canada. On behalf of 1000s of recipients of across Canada, we wish to thank all blood donors for their generosity and commitment to Canada’s Lifeline.

Making an appointment to help save a life has never been easier. Visit blood.ca, download the GiveBlood app or call 1-888-2-DONATE and find a nearby donation site. Walk in appointments are also available at all locations.
